ABOUT SURAJ

From a young age, I was attracted to philosophy, human psychology and meta physics. Life to me had much deeper meaning than going through the daily routine.  Interestingly I have a background in Electrical Engineering and have been associated with the IT Industry for two decades. However doing a day job was not enough for me as it was hardly fulfilling from a spiritual perspective.

Hence It was destined that one fine day I would stumble across an astrology website and get hooked into it for hours. There has been no looking back since that point in my life. I engrossed myself into astrological magazines, books from Indian and Western authors, TV shows etc. constantly vetting my appetite for unearthing the secrets of Jyotish. I realized I had learnt a fair bit and hence finally decided to take it to a level where I could start helping others.

I was fascinated by the work from my Guruji Shri Sanjay Rathji and so I ended up registering with the Jaimini Scholar Programme with my mentor Steve Hubball around 2014.  Sanjayji has had a profound influence on me as a person and his Jyotish lessons helped me develop compassion and empathy for others.

In parallel I  also started doing TV appearances with local channels in the UK and I now regularly appear as a guest in one of the popular Jyotish series "Kundali and Kismat" hosted by my best astrology mate "Imran" who is a wizard of sorts in making accurate astrological predictions. Finally I would say that life is non linear and the concept of Karma is complex to say the least. The biblical thought "As you sow so shall you reap" is not necessarily seen to manifest in every scenario.  Just think why did Karna in Mahabharata suffer at the hands of every relation, even Shri Krishna is not seemingly able to help him. Surely he was the most selfless character to be portrayed in any story.  This leads us to believe in ideas like all knowledge is with the soul, reincarnation, life after death, our ancestors etc. These are complex ideas and unnerving for those who believe in Happy ending.

Jyotish helped me reconcile with the dichotomy of life to a large extent and I have begun to accept life as it is. It also empowered me with some practical tools like finding answers to the "Why" questions .  Why am I born in a rich/poor family? or Why do I have to feel low on a particular tithi in the month, or Why specific months in the year are difficult health wise? Having learnt these simple principles I do realise my Jyotish knowledge is very limited and there is a constant urge to learn more. I continue in my pursuit to find meaning in life through Jyotish and hopefully my experiences can help you in your journey somewhere.
